01/08 We just added a number of releases to our mail order catalog. From Chuck Bettis we have All Scars, Trance and the ArcadeWWIII, and a solo CD. We have all 5 Big Blood limited edition CDRs and 3 CDs from Okbari. These releases are now available on the store page.

05/07 There has not been a lot going on as far as new releases from NEI but we are continuing to add new titles to our online and mail order catalogs. Recent additions include CDs from Laurel Brauns and Pepi Ginsberg. We currently are featuring them on our MySpace player. We will be adding 5 titles from Chuck Bettis, 3 from Okbari and a new CDR from Big Blood soon.
Many of the musicians have stayed very active so far this year. Micah Blue Smaldone finished a small tour this winter and Alec K Redfearn and the Eyesores just returned from Europe. Erin Davidson (dilly dilly) will be performing as a singer/musician backing up Sage Francis on an upcoming summer tour.

04/07 NEI has Big Blood's new CDR available.
We have added a new title to the online catalog. This is from Little Wooden Angels and the title is Songs of Praise and Joy. We have tracks up on the myspace player from both the recent additions along with one from Micah's new EP.
Micah Blue Smaldone will be touring this February and will have a new EP, Live in Belgium, along for sale at the shows. The CD is now available online. Visit the live page for details on the shows.

03/07 North East Indie is expanding our online catalog and mail order to include other musicians who we really like. Most of these titles are self released or on other small labels. They include members from the North East Indie family tree or in other cases music from folks whose paths we have crossed and want to make available through our own store. Arborea's Wayfaring Stranger is the first title and look for CDs from Okbari, Big Blood, Little Wooden Angels, Pepi Ginsberg, Asian Mae and Laurel Brauns in the near future.

8/06 We are currently working on an eastern US tour for dilly dilly who will be releasing a limited edition CDEP on North East Indie this fall. Visit dilly dilly's myspace page to hear two tracks from this EP. Fence Kitchen will also be touring joining dilly dilly on some dates including a show on 9.11 at Pete's Candy Store in Brooklyn with Death Vessel.
North East Indie is proud to announce the upcoming release of De Kift from De Kift. This is the first North American release from this influential Dutch band. There is a track on the North East Indie My Space Page

4/06 February was a busy month for NEI acts touring. There were 30 shows in all and at least one act was playing every night of the month except two. Right now we are booking Seekonk for a US tour in May and Alex Lukashevsky has a local CD release planned in Toronto at Trinport on April 6. Micah Blue Smaldone will be heading to the UK in May also - check back for dates.
There are 2 Seekonk MP3's available for download at the new Pinkwood page. Pinkwood will be in stores April 11 and Seekonk will be touring the US this Spring.

11/05 Tarpigh will be self releasing their new CDR Where is Dunyazad? and will play Space Gallery 11/26 in Portland to kick off a week of dates around New York and New England.

11/05 Death Vessel just signed on with the Windish Agency which has led to a number of upcoming shows including 3 nights on the Iron and Wine / Calexico tour in Atlantic City, New York, and Philadelphia in early December.

11/05 Micah Blue Smaldone's Hither and Thither will be in stores November 15. A newly designed and remastered Some Sweet Day CD is available online and will be in stores January 10. Micah will be featured in an upcoming Magnet Magazine in the Magnified section. "Coal Black Crepe" will appear on the accompanying compilation and he will also have "Tatterdemaloin Stomp" on the new Greeting from Area Code 207 CD to be released November 9. Micah is touring until early December when he returns to Portland to join The Threads at Local 188 on December 4.

01/05 Cerberus Shoal is currently recording a new CD at Tsunami Sound in Portland ME with Scott Colburn returning for production and recording duties. They are recording the music they have been touring with in 2004 and we anticipate a June release date. They have shows scheduled in Boston and Providence in mid-February.
